I found out the building I’m opening up in used to be a Woolworths. Found an archival photo and article from April 1960 about NAACP protests outside. The building has since been divided in half, my side is the closet to the camera.
So here are some pictures of the (currently creepy-ish) basement. The building was a Woolworth’s, and then a shoe store. I’m guessing some of the strange side rooms were used for dyeing and/or cobbling. Hired a new conceptual artist to design the aesthetics and layout of the taproom! Here he is getting a true sense of the space.
Here are some quick renderings of the main floor and taproom. The seating isn’t accurate, and the measurements aren’t as exact as the ones I’m taking now that I’m in the space and the lease is signed, but this was my first pass at understanding the physical space.
So here are the pics of the main floor (the taproom) of the building I’m going to be leasing. Fell in love with the original tin ceilings, the wide sidewalks and the location in Downtown Vineland.
Opening Spring 2016
The Brinx Jones Brewing Company will be opening in the spring of 2016 in Vineland, NJ. Brinx Jones has worked as a designer and professional musician, having lived in the Philly, D.C, and Las Vegas areas. He moved to Washington D.C. last year and started brewing at Baying Hound Aleworks in Rockville, MD. He has returned home to South Jersey to found the Brinx Jones Brewing Company.
